In 2021, do NOT discount yourself. People depend on exploitation and disingenuous “networking”

Through my extensive gig-network, I’ve managed to find an exclusive job posting (Simon. This came from Simon). Up and Atom is looking for physics/mathematics writers for scripting. Email your cover letter and some samples to: upandatomshows@gmail.com

Also, this one was retweeted by @GreenInkGigs, which is worth a follow! The AP is hiring for water journalists, one reporter, one videographer, one policy reporter!

Those Bird People are hiring again, this time for a social media fellow.

C&EN is looking for an associate editor to write the news but also recruit freelance talent.

The Academic Times is hiring science writers to cover biology, chemistry, and physics. They say they will only hire smart folks, people who have a natural curiosity, which narrows it down quite a bit. There will be a writing test, but no word on what pay or bennies are. If any of these red flags have gone unnoticed by you, email a cover letter and sample to jobs@fastinform.com.

If you’ve got a heavy scientific background, look into this remote gig from The Scientist. Apply by today!

Into collaboration and environmental journalism? This O’Brien Fellowship for Public Service Journalism sounds great! (Remote is possible!) Apply by January 23rd!

Shared this a few months ago, but always worth a re-share: A list of science media outlets to pitch.
